General Hospital recently shocked all the viewers when they brought Tracy Quartermaine back to Port Charles. While this comeback was shocking in itself, but the news she brought with her was even more shocking. Tracy came back to tell everyone that Luke was gone. She revealed that he died in Austria in an apparent freak cable car accident. However, for multiple reasons, it looks like this is not actually the end of Luke’s storyline but the start of another storyline. What could it be? Here is everything about it.
GH viewers would recall, when Victor Cassadine came to know about this death, he suggested that it was a shame for someone like Luke to leave them all in such a trivial way. But that isn’t all that Victor did. In fact, he spoke to an unidentified caller and spoke about how Luke was neutralized.
It looks like whatever happened to Luke was part of a plan, and this Austria death is actually a fake demise. If all of it was really true, it is unlikely that GH writers would just kill Luke off-screen without any reason. So, could this be a setup for a new storyline? It looks like so.
Long time viewers would remember, GH did something similar around Holly Sutton too. They made it look like Holly Sutton was “dead.” But, later on, it was revealed that she was actually alive and being held, hostage. So, it is possible that GH only brought Luke’s name back to actually bring him back to the canvas. Not just these storyline loopholes, but the EP of the show, Frank Valentini, has also dropped some hints.
General Hospital EP- Frank Valentini recently took onto his Twitter where he posted- “New year- new romance- new drama! Is Luke really gone?” This tweet made it look like what Valentini was really trying to do was to start a conversation. He could have tweeted something definitive, but he decided to tweet something in the question form. So, it is possible that this is the hint that Anthony Geary might be on his way back.
If that does happen, it will be fun to see Luke and Laura coming back and causing some interesting drama. Would you like to see Luke back in action? Tell us in the comments below. General Hospital airs on ABC all weekdays. Make sure you tune in and enjoy.
