Almost a year ago, we saw arguably the cutest baby ever on General Hospital. Jay and Joey Clay were cast to portray the newborn Ace Cassadine, the son of Esme Prince and Nikolas Cassadine. Early on, there was a little chatter about how the soap had cast older babies to portray a newborn. But soon enough all that chatter vaporized as the twins completely won over everyone’s hearts with their cuteness.
In fact, it has been such a pleasure to see them on General Hospital that we didn’t even realize that a whole year has passed since they first debuted. Jay and Joey’s mom – Lana Clay, took X ( formerly Twitter) to share an adorable picture of the twins. In the caption, she marked the one-year milestone for her babies as cutie patootie soap stars. “Celebrating our FIRST anniversary on General Hospital,” she wrote in the caption. Furthermore, she mentioned that her boys were only six months old when they joined the soap.
Lana Clay also expressed her gratitude to all of Jay and Joey‘s General Hospital co-stars for all their love and support. We can imagine what a proud moment it must be for her. As it should be, given how wonderful the twins have been on GH. Not only are they super photogenic, but they also seem so well-behaved on the screen. They are always so calm in the scenes with other actors. Sometimes, even falling asleep mid-scene. They truly must have started to feel at home on the sets by now!
Currently, on General Hospital, Spencer has helped Nik run away with baby Ace. So, it seems that we may not see the babies on the screen for a bit. At least till Nik returns or Esme finds a way to get her son back. However, there has been no news about the twins leaving the show, or Adam Huss, for that matter. So, it is possible that the Dark Prince will return sooner this time. With his little baby in tow, of course!
Please join us in the comments to send your love to the little heroes of GH- Joey and Jay. Meanwhile, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers for more General Hospital spoilers and news.
