Characters in soaps usually have to deal with more than just their fair share of troubled lives. However, Willow of General Hospital has undoubtedly achieved that feat in one single storyline alone! In one long stretch of breath, she got diagnosed with cancer while pregnant, required a bone marrow transplant, then had to face the startling reality of Nina being her bio mom. If that wasn’t enough, the young mother is now also battling death! Moreover, her adoptive mother, Harmony, just appeared in Willow’s vision, just as she flatlined!
However, this was not the only time Harmony had her appearance felt recently on General Hospital. A few episodes ago, when the truth bomb exploded on Willow, she lashed out that Nina is a far worse mom than Harmony. That spur-of-the-moment declaration made viewers skip a heartbeat for a minute! No one could believe that Willow actually thinks Harmony to be a better mother than Nina. Surely Nina has done many questionable things, but is she really more despicable than Harmony Miller? The murderous woman who exploited Willow and stood alongside the wretched cul leader Shiloh. If that wasn’t enough, she even partnered up with the in-house criminal, Ryan Chamberlain. Still better than Nina?
Netizens In Disbelief Of Willow’s Statement On General Hospital
That statement certainly ruffled the feathers for many General Hospital fans. A Twitter user Elizabeth Kerri, resonated the sentiments of many netizens when she questioned how Willow could think Nina worse than the sex-trafficking Harmony? Elizabeth pointed that it better be Willow’s leukemia that has made her say this gibberish, because otherwise it makes no sense. Well thankfully, the viewers are not the only one who find Willow’s statement bizarre.
In a recent episode of Soap Opera Digest Podcast, actress Katelyn MacMullen admitted that she doesn’t necessarily agrees with Willow’s statement. She accepts that Harmony has done some really awful and shady stuff on General Hospital. However, the talented actress pointed that Willow and Nina are currently butting heads and it was just an exaggerated, heat-of-the-moment statement. Moreover, Katelyn added that Willow is pregnant, hormonal, sick, exhausted, and devastated. Under those circumstances, things just hit so much harder. She may or may not have meant what she said. But all she wanted to put across was that all of it was emotionally killing her.
Well, if Willow really dies on General Hospital, that statement will come back to haunt Nina forever. However, if Willow survives and is sent back to the land of living by Harmony’s spirit, then maybe she and Nina can find a way to get past all of it and form an amicable relationship. Do you think Nina and Willow will ever be on the same page? Stay tuned to General Hospital to find out!
