The latest spoiler suggests that Sean Blakemore, who plays the role of Shawn Butler on the ABC soap, is all set to exit from Port Charles. The rumor is that the actor has other projects waiting outside of the daytime drama.

Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Sean Blakemore confirmed on Twitter that his time in Port Charles is coming to an end. Moreover, speaking of how he’ll go, the makers have an interesting storyline. General Hospital spoilers for February 25, 2022, reveal that Shawn wants to expand his media company, The Invader. Then, He discussed his idea with Alexis Davis and told her about moving to San Francisco.

Furthermore, Shawn hinted to Alexis that he would stay for her. But Alexis will clarify that she isn’t interested in a romantic relationship with him. Then, Shawn will miss TJ Ashford and bid him adieu in Monday’s episode and make his business a priority. Although the show is keeping a door open for his return, as of now, Shawn is leaving Port Charles.

Blakemore cleared the air himself when viewers asked him if he was fired. He confirmed that it was his choice to leave. Sean said, “I appreciate you and ALL my wonderful supporters! I was absolutely NOT let go. It was my decision to exit the show because of other obligations. The GH family has been great to me! Who knows [what’s] to come in the near future.” It seems like the actor has some exciting projects waiting after the soap. But Shawn’s fans will definitely miss him.
