General Hospital comings and goings spoilers suggest that a fan-favorite actor is coming back home. As per the latest spoilers, Réal Andrews is returning to reprise his role as Marcus Taggert on the soap opera. The actor recently took onto his social media to tell everyone about it.
He posted a quick boomerang video on Instagram where he is zooming in and out on the script. Followers-only get to see the character name there because he has hidden everything else on the page. The actor captioned the video with “Taggert is back!”
Long-time General Hospital viewers would remember Marcus Taggert first appeared on the soap opera back in 1996. The character was brought to life by Réal Andrews. However, the character has been recast a number of times ever since. Matthew St. Patrick stepped into the role from 1997 to 1998. However, then, Andrews returned to soap and continued to play the role until 2003.
Then, he reprised the role again in 2020 and was believed to be dead in March that year. However, later on, in August 2020, GH viewers came to know that he was much alive. But then, he left again because Asante Jones took on the role in December 2020.
Nobody in GH or Andrews has spoken about this frequent recasting of the character. But, with everything that is happening, the good news is that Réal Andrews is now coming back. And when he comes back, it is likely that he will become a part of the Trina paternity storyline.
GH viewers would know the soap opera started exploring the “Who is Trina’s father” storyline. But, that storyline could not be told in its full strength. So, we might get those answers now.
