Just as we thought Spencer would get crushed to the floor, General Hospital swept us off with a surprise saviour! On the October 3, 2022, episode, we saw a familiar face resurface to the screen! Jeff Kober just returned to Pentonville as Cyrus! Yes, you read to right, Jeff Kober Has RETURNED!
In the recent General Hospital episode, A fellow inmate lost his cool at Spencer after the latter scored a job that the former wanted. The inmate attacked Spencer at the Pentonville library, hammering him with a book. However, Cyrus appeared just in the nick of time and saved Spencer by reciting a Bible verse citing the punishment for violence. The inmate backed off but left Spencer with a warning.
Later, On General Hospital, Spencer asked Cyrus what he wanted in return for saving his life. However, Cyrus blew it off, saying Spencer would’ve handled it on his own anyway and owed him nothing. Jokingly he added that the inmate had once beaten a man into a vegetative state using a dictionary. However, Spencer did not buy it and repeated his question.
Cyrus yet again denied wanting anything in return for saving Spencer’s life. Spencer, however, stood his ground and went on to accuse him of orchestrating the attack just so he could be Spencer’s savior and win favor. “You haven’t changed at all.” Spencer accused Cyrus. “Oh but I have, Spencer.” Cyrus retorted.
General Hospital: Evil Returns To Port Charles!
General Hospital history is proof that dear old Cyrus Renault is the devil incarnate himself! He was the main antagonist on the soap since February 2020 till actor Jeff Kober’s exit in June 2021. And while he claims that he has changed, can he really be trusted? Do leopards really ever change their spots?
Seeing his villainous arc on the show previously, it really is a hard pill to swallow that he would return as a good guy. Now that even Spencer believes he has fallen into Cyrus’s debt, we wonder what Cyrus could want in return. Will he use spencer as a means to fulfill some bigger, much more evil motives? Only time will tell.
Looks like Spencer’s troubles just went up a notch on General Hospital! In an interview with Soaps.com Jeff Kober had stated that “Cyrus is a funny character because he’s got a really big heart and he’s just an evil bastard.” Well, we hope poor Spencer doesn’t end up falling prey to the evilness! What do you think? Could Cyrus be behind the attack? Or has he really changed and won’t collect the debt? Please share your views in the comments.
