General Hospital fans who have been keeping up with the updates know that there has been a shakeup in the soap opera cast. COVID-19 Vaccine was made compulsory for all the employees who work on and in the set area where actors tape scenes. Because of this shakeup, there were rumors that many GH actors were being let go.
Among all other names, one name that caught our attention was Carolyn Hennesy, who plays Diane Miller. There were speculations that Hennesy was on her way out of the soap because of the vaccine mandate. However, the actress has now cleared everything and even called out the people who have been spreading this news.
Recently, taking onto her Twitter, Carolyn Hennesy confirmed that she wasn’t leaving the soap. She did some crowdsourcing and got to the bottom of the tweets that said that Hennesy was leaving the soap. She put up a tweet that said, “Hey, my fabulous Twitter-verse, Any idea where this nonsense started about me leaving GH regarding the vaxx? Just curious.”
As soon as she posted this, her query started receiving a number of responses from her fans. One follower shared a screenshot from a website that said that Hennesy would be joining Steve and Ingo along with a number of other crew members because they failed to get vaccinated. The actress then quickly set the record straight and said that the facts were incorrect. Diane isn’t going anywhere.
After confirming this, the actress decided to give an earful to all the rumor makers. She says that she is always fascinated by the people who have nothing better to do than to stir up stuff. While others are trying to pay their bills, they do this. She called their lives sad, tiny, and little. Then, she went on to say that the rest of them are tired, but it is great.
Before concluding her statement, Hennesey says that she loves Steve. He is kind, smart, funny, and a caring human. He has always made her feel terrific as an actor and a friend. And she will definitely miss him. While we are equally sad about Steve Burton’s exit from the soap opera, it is a relief to know that Diane isn’t going anywhere.
