Hallmark Channel has become the number one choice for Daytime stars looking to expand their careers! General Hospital alum Ryan Paevey is a prominent name on the list! However, just because an actor is experimenting with new adventures on a new field, does not mean they won’t ever return to their home ground! For instance, actor Cameron Mathison too, teamed up with Hallmark for films, but has often said that he will remain connected to General Hospital. And now, Ryan Paevey has also opened up about his stance regarding his return to GH! A speculation that has been made time and again! So dive right in to find out what the star has to say!
In a conversation with Soaps In Depth, Ryan shed light on where he stands on the idea of returning to General Hospital. “I would say the chances are unbelievably small”, the actor pointed much to our disappointment. The fan favorite star admitted that the GH canvas has perhaps moved on without him and his character. Moreover, he shared that he has never had a conversation about returning to the ABC soap ever since he left. Ryan debuted on the soap as Nathan West back in December, 2013. He was introduced as a Police Detective and became Maxie’s new roommate.
General Hospital: The Long Story Short!
Ryan’s stint on General Hospital lasted only a few short years, but he lived a lifetime during it. For starters, he found true love with Maxie. He reunited with his sister Nina, and also came to know his bio-mom, Liesl. However, a less fun discovery that he made was the fact that his bio-dad happened to be the mega villain, Cesar Faison. In an unfortunate twist of fate, Nathan fell to his death after being shot by his father in February, 2018. Although deaths are hardly ever permanent on soaps. But as of now, it seems Nathan’s will continue to remain rather permanent. Since Ryan has had no discussions with the makers about returning to the fold.
But hey, just because Ryan isn’t returning to General Hospital (yet), doesn’t mean you won’t be seeing him on the screen again. His latest movie with Hallmark is slated to hit the screen on September 8, 2023 at 8 p.m. In the movie titled, Fourth Down and Love, Ryan plays a football player. His paths will cross with a single mother at her daughter’s flag football field after his career is interrupted by a sports injury. So don’t forget to mark your calendar.
