GH is listed in The Guinness World Record as the longest-running American soap in production. Furthermore, it is the second longest-running soap in American History, a tad behind Guiding Lights. It doesn’t end here; General Hospital is also the world’s third longest-running scripted drama in production! So it really comes as no surprise that the magnum opus project is all set to celebrate its enthralling 60th Anniversary!
On Saturday, April 1, 2023, General Hospital will mark its 60 years on air! The current star cast of the iconic soap got together for a cast photo shoot. The stars of the iconic soap arrived for the do, all decked up in their red-carpet looks, suits, gowns, and flawless hair and makeup! They all truly looked like the brightest of stars! General Hospital is calling the cast photo “The Class Photo,” which marks the tremendous milestone barely a few can boast of! The official Instagram account of GH posted a video montage from the photoshoot BTS and announced that the portrait would be unveiled on February 14, 2023.

The stars of General Hospital took turns to appear on the video as they exclaimed their enthusiasm over the outstanding achievement. ” Hi, everybody!” greeted actress Eden McCoy. “Happy Birthday,” actress Cassandra James enthused as the video opened. General Hospital’s Amanda Setton couldn’t contain her excitement that the entire cast has come together to celebrate the 60th anniversary. The video then flashed the entire cast raising their champagne flutes to cheer for the soap.
Toward the end of the video, actor Bradford Anderson announces the love that everyone has for the show. “It’s amazing,” General Hospital star, Cynthia Watros, finished the statement. All the stars are so thrilled in the video that we can barely hold our breaths for the final photo. Are you as excited as us?
