Brooke Vincent, who played Sophie Webster in Coronation Street, felt like throwing in the towel when she didn’t land any auditions after leaving the show. The 31-year-old star spilled her heart out in Drama Queens on ITVBe. This show gives us a peek into the real lives of soap stars from ITV.
In the latest episode, Brooke shed tears as she talked about her ‘mum guilt’ when her little one fell sick while she was away in London for a new job. She talks about what she was going through exactly this time last year. The Coronation Street star states, “I was getting no auditions. I was sat here like do I just give it up?”
Back In 2019, Brooke said goodbye to Corrie just before her son Mexx came into the world. Taking a breather from acting, Brooke hosted Hits Radio with Mike Toolan. She expressed, “I almost feel like the radio was good because it eased my back into the industry.”
Currently, The Coronation Street former is rocking it as Amy in Syndicate The Play. Last week, she shared an incident when she got a call saying her son was sick on the way there. Talking to the camera, tears welled up in her eyes as she confessed that she felt ‘overwhelmed.’
It’s because ‘mum guilt’ hit her hard, making her question if she should even be there. Vincent felt torn, wondering if she should just stick to a 9-5 job close to home and focus solely on being a mom. She added, “ I don’t know what the right answer is, to be honest.”
