But she ended up abandoning her religion following the untimely death of her father. In order for their relationship to work, Eli said Laurie would have to convert. The latter began to contemplate if she was giving up too much, as being Jewish would mean changing her whole lifestyle. Be it her clothes or hair, and prepare for a test.
3. Ashley & Mohammad
Ashley Was raised in a conservative catholic household. She is married to Mohammad, who is Muslim. Their families are also against this union. The latter’s twin brother said it wasn’t right for him to marry a “non-Muslim” woman. At the same time, Ashley’s community has been shocked at her decision to marry a Muslim man as she is from Jefferson City, Missouri and everything there is “white, conservative and catholic.” They also have a 3-year-old daughter, and Mohammad wants his wife to “convert” so that she can have a Muslim mother. But Ashley’s family isn’t so sure if she should change for her husband.
