First Dates’ Icon Talks About EastEnders
We know that audiences across the globe love EastEnders. If this icon comes on the show, it will definitely bring more culture to its ranks. First Dates star Fred Sirieix recently spoke about how he has been offered an acting role and would like to give them a chance.
EastEnders fans know that Fred is also lobbying for a role in BBC’s EastEnders and even had thought of lines for himself. The celeb previously told The Sun about his hopes to get a role on the BBC One soap.
He recently spoke to Express.co.uk about his acting aspirations and admitted it would be very challenging. He said, “I haven’t heard anything [from EastEnders]. I mean, my idea is that I was with one of the ladies there, and then somebody will come, and they are [furious about it] and kill me. I think it’s such an iconic show that I’ve been watching since I came to the UK in 1992.”
The 52-year-old maitre d’hotel turned TV star mentioned that he has been offered roles, but they’re right for him. “Because there is something quite fascinating about taking yourself out of your comfort zone, being able to be convincing, and then perform on demand,” he added.
Furthermore, Fred is all ready to film a new travel series with Gino D’Acampo. Aside from acting, he has another ambition. The actor wants to make a reggae album and he loves it.
