Ryan Hawley, famed for his iconic role as Robert Sugden in Emmerdale, is set to electrify fans once more with his return to TV in the hit series Casualty. Viewers must know that Ryan’s departure in 2019 left viewers heartbroken. However, now, he’s back as Jamie Cleveland in Casualty’s new box set. Do you wish to know more about it? Keep scrolling!
Emmerdale Actor Ryan Hawley Takes On Role in Casualty
Former Emmerdale star Ryan Hawley has joined the cast of Casualty. The actor famously played Robert Sugden from 2014 to 2019 and won over fans with his unforgettable role. The love story of Robert and Aaron Dingle became the greatest romance in soap history. Even to date, fans still ship ‘Robron.’
Sadly, their story ended in 2019 when Ryan left the show. In his final scenes, Robert ended up in jail after turning himself in for attacking Lee Posner, who had raped his sister Victoria Barton. Since leaving Emmerdale, Ryan has appeared in Silent Witness in a totally different avatar.
This Saturday, Ryan is back on our screens in the first episode of Casualty’s latest box set, Storm Damage. He’ll play Jamie Cleveland, a board member at Holby City Hospital. The first episode, Sinking Ships, focuses on Cam making a tough decision during his shift.
As a storm looms over Holby, Stevie makes a surprising connection while Tariq tries to help Rash, played by Neet Mohan. Neet Mohan previously expressed feeling a mix of pressure and excitement about being at the centre of such a significant plot. He mentioned his belief that the show was in a strong position to tell compelling stories.
The actor hoped that their portrayal of the NHS would shed light on the real struggles faced by medical staff. Mohan emphasised the importance of addressing these issues and felt honoured to convey this through his character. So, what are you waiting for? Stay tuned to Casualty!
