Emmerdale: Gemma Oaten fractured her elbow, Taken To Hospital
Emmerdale star Gemma Oaten (Rachel Breckle) got seriously injured on a walk. The actress fractured her elbow after “chipping the bone”. While updating her fans on her week, she shared the news with a picture of the bruise. She captioned, “Then I fell. Literally. Really badly on the walk home with Ruby on Wednesday night.” Gemma added, “I then went to A&E and discovered I’ve got some nice little chips of bone off my elbow, and now I have a glamorous sling & a heap of painkillers.”
The 39-year-old Emmerdale star shared the inspiring post with a strong caption. She wrote, “Why am I sharing this? Well, to say – that’s life! It’s got its ups & downs, but it’s how you handle it that is the game changer. She mentioned that she is blessed for this week, the moments, the friendships and the support of all. She accepted that, most of all, she is proud of herself & how she has reacted. Gemma penned, “As the quote goes – ‘”‘our greatest glory is not in ever falling, but in rising every time we fall’ CONFUCIOUS. I’m grand, I’m feeling so positive and empowered and considering the girl I was – I am bloody delighted with the open, authentic, vulnerable, bounce back ability woman I am becoming.” She concluded the post with a quote, “Life is a journey. Keep learning. You matter.”
Gemma is best known for her role as Rachel Breckle in Emmerdale from 2011 to 2015. She also made a appearance in Coronation Street in 2021. Before becoming an actress, she worked as a chambermaid, cleaner and shop assistant. Earlier, Gemma opened up about suffering from anorexia during her teens. Hence she used her voice to raise awareness about eating disorders. Her mother, Marg, was awarded an MBE for setting up the eating disorder charity SEED. We appreciate Gemma for her initiative and wish her a speedy recovery. For more Emmerdale updates, stay tuned to the TV Season & Spoilers!
