Emmerdale: Sam Dingle Drops Revelation About Dad Zak
Back in December, Steve Halliwell, the legacy actor of Emmerdale, took his last breaking. However, his character, Zak Dingle, continues to live in the minds of the Dingle family. After all, he was a major part of the show for the past past 30 years. How possibly could Dingles forget the head of their family? This time, in the Thursday episode, Sam Dingle dropped an update about his father.
Emmerdale icon Steve was announced dead, stating, “He went to sleep peacefully with his loved ones around him. He didn’t want sadness, just to rejoice in a life well lived.” After his death, Emmerdale released the December 18, 2023, episode in his memory. The soap screened ‘Dedicated to Steve Halliwell’ at the end of the episode to give an on-screen tribute to the actor.
Sam Dingle and Lydia Dingle have been having a hard time making their relationship work post-Lydia’s rape. However, in the latest episode of Emmerdale, she is finally strong enough to share intimacy with husband, Sam, again. But Sam dashed her plan to have a wonderful night as he refused to sleep with her. Seeing Lydia upset, he explained that he wanted her to take her time without any pressure. He said, “I didn’t ‘want [them] being funny with each other’ because it was the last night I had at home before visiting Dad.”
According to Emmerdale, Zak is currently residing in Scotland and is still a prominent part of the Dingle family. Previously, his mention came up when, right after engaging with Tom, Belle Dingle called her dad to ask for his blessing. He even acted as the bridge between Kim Tate and Lydia Dingle’s friendship.
