Emmerdale is all for a double departure. Two of our favourite characters are going to make their exit. The reason for the exit is a family tragedy. Last week, we saw a lot happening in the Dales. From Craig Reed’s (Ben Addis) murder mystery to some shocking revelations, it was a rollercoaster. Now, we have got Tom King (James Chase) and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) exit on our list. But what exactly made them leave the village?
Emmerdale: Belle And Tom Are Leaving The Dales
Tom King recently got the news of his mum Colleen King’s (Melanie Ash) death. However, it was strange when he chose not to tell Belle about it. Later, Belle discovered it from Jimmy King (Nick Miles). While she was frustrated about Tom hiding it from her, she decided to console him and acknowledged that he was grieving. Belle and Tom have recently moved in together, but Tom always seems suspicious, and Belle can sense it in the air. He has become very controlling, especially as he is jealous of her friendship with Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson). Tom is certainly loving, but there is also his very aggressive side.
In the lastest episodes of Emmerdale, we saw through flashbacks that Tom proposed to Belle after a romantic meal, but Belle refused. She thought it was too soon and not the right time, as her family was already dealing with Lydia Dingle’s (Karen Blick) rapist’s death. Tom’s reaction was very shocking as he couldn’t take Belle’s decision and pushed her to the ground, and she hit her head as she fell.
Despite all this, Belle supported him and asked him to book a flight in order to attend his mum’s funeral. Meanwhile, Tom shared that he doesn’t want to go alone. Belle agrees to accompany him, and they plan to fly to South Arabia together. But after everything Tom has done, why is Belle still sympathetic towards him?
