This got him kicked out of The Hop and left him to spend the night alone in the rain. However, Aaron’s downfall has sparked outrage among Emmerdale fans. Fans highlighted the lack of empathy from his family through social media. They call for a mental health-focused storyline. The year has just begun, and Emmerdale fans have already started backlashing the ongoing storyline. This time, fans backed up the recently returned Aaron Dingle. The fan-favorite marked his return last year, and since then, he has been getting on everybody’s nerves for his aggressive behavior. This has not only distanced him from his family but has also isolated him from the entire village.
Recently, Aaron was found drinking and insulting people at The Hop. Victoria tries her best to stop him but when he keeps on humiliating Moira and Cain, she is eventually forced to kick him out. Emmerdale spoilers suggest that in the upcoming episodes, viewers will get to see Aaron sitting all alone in the rain. While he is sitting, Cathy asks him if he is fine. To which he replied, “Don’t kid yourself, you’re just like me, you’re tainted, don’t expect that to change, and then you can’t be disappointed.”
After this scene aired, fans have come in support of Aaron. They took to Twitter (X) to express themselves. One of the Emmerdale fans penned, “Aaron’s family has no empathy for him whatsoever. And it gets worse if you think that a few months ago, Paddy was suffering from mental problems.” While another demanded that the storyline should rather be mental-health oriented.
Fans believe that several characters are saying that he just needs to grow up and stop complaining, while he actually needs professional help. Another fan wrote, “Never particularly liked Aaron as a character but not sure what the scriptwriters were thinking of to turn him into this, it’s nonsense.” Additionally, a fan labeled the storyline ‘over the top’ and questioned why Aaron is being treated like a killer.
