The truth behind Heath Hope’s tragic death has been a mystery for the past week. Finally, the truth has been exposed in the latest Emmerdale episode. But, according to Emmerdale spoilers, it’s not the end. The storyline has just begun. We already know that Heath Hope, Cathy Hope, and Angelica King went on a joyride on New Year’s Eve.
However, it soon turned out to be their worst nightmare as they got into an accident, which led to Heath’s death. Since then, Bob has been calling out daughter Cathy, as he thinks she is the one who caused the accident. Amidst mourning Heath’s death, Angelica and Cathy are still putting the blame on each other.
The Emmerdale episode exposed the truth on January 18, Heath’s funeral episode. In the episode, Cathy was dedicated to give her brother a warm goodbye. However, Bob decided not to show up as he wouldn’t be able to cope. As already featured in Emmerdale spoilers, while Cathy was watching her brother’s casket leave, Bob unexpectedly joined.
Cathy (while sobbing) told Bob, “If you think I’m lying about something this important, then me and you aren’t fixed at all.” She declared, “I’ll tell you one last time — I wasn’t driving, Angelica was.” In the end, Cathy stood tall on her ground and refused to return home.
Angelica Was Lying All Along!
On Heath’s funeral ceremony day, a guilty Angelica is spotted standing near Heath’s graveyard. When her mother Nicola came to her, she dropped a bombshell that she had not been honest about the accident. Before sinking into her mother’s arms, she confessed, “It wasn’t Cathy who was driving, it was me!” What will happen next?
The Fans speculations have given us ideas. If we keep the Emmerdale spoilers in mind, we can assume that Nicola will cover for her daughter in order to protect her. Some of the fans even labeled Nicola ‘horrible.’ They are quite certain that Nicola will try to silence her daughter and will make her swear to secrecy.
