Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden and Charley Webb are no longer together! Well, this is not the first time the couple has decided to split up. But this time, it came as a shock as fans were quite certain that things were quite good between them. But Matthew’s unfollowing wife Charley on Instagram was a confirmation. While there are reports that Charley hasn’t followed him yet.
Their split-up rumour was already in the air, but there was no certainty if they were true or not. The rumours spread like a fire after a suspicious picture of Charley went viral. Will the couple make an official announcement this time, like they did before?
Emmerdale Couple Part Ways, Matthew Unfollows Wife Charley
Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has unfollowed wife Charley Webb on Instagram, according to the reports. Matthew recently left Emmerdale after 18 years in the role of David Metcalfe, and Charley played Debbie Dingle for 19 years and left in 2021. The couple met on the set of Emmerdale. Matthew proposed to his co-star in 2009. But their relationship was not at all smooth sailing. In the year 2013, they decided to split up, confirming with a statement by a spokesperson saying, “Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have today confirmed they have separated.”
The Emmerdale stars got back in 2013 with Matthew declaring, “‘It was never a permanent split, we just needed some time apart’. In February of 2018, the couple got married. The couple had a shocking wedding and were joined by 100 guests. They surprised their guests by making them believe that they were invited to Charley’s 30th birthday while it was their wedding day. With Matthew unfollowing Charley while Charley is still following him, the rumours are again on the surface.
Charley Spotted With Ring On Her Right – Not Left – Finger
There are reports that up until last night, Matthew was following her and a source mentioned, “Charley and Matthew were in very different places in their lives when they first got together. Three kids later and with new careers in the mix, everything has changed, and perhaps they are no longer the unit they once were.” A few weeks back, Charley was spotted with a ring on her right finger instead of the left one, which was suspicious, hinting at their split up.
Charley and Matthew have three sons together. The eldest was born in 2010, the second one in 2015 and the youngest one in 2019. After quitting Emmerdale, Matthew will be seen playing Buddy the Elf in the newest revival of the musical, based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell. Charley, on the other hand, is a part of the ITV police series The Long Shadow. Fans are still waiting for the official confirmation from the couple’s end. What do you think?
