In December 2023, Lydia Dingle dramatically left Emmerdale. She was completely invested in figuring out who killed her rapist- Craig. Eventually, she discovered that her best friend – Kim Tate’s horse had accidentally killed him. However, the latest spoilers reveal that she is finally back in the village. Something all Emmerdale fans, as well as the characters, were waiting and hoping for.
After spending New Year’s Eve and Christmas with her mother, Lydia has finally come back to Wishing Well Cottage in Emmerdale. But will the New Year give Lydia a new perspective, or will she still be holding on to old grudges? Viewers will remember that after finding out that Kim was keeping Craig’s killing a secret, Lydia stopped talking to her. No matter how much Kim tried, she refused to forgive her friend. Craig had died shortly after raping Lydia.
Thus, she was assuming that one of the Dingle family members must have murdered him for revenge on Emmerdale. However, in reality, Kim had left him to die after her hose knocked him out. Lydia was quite upset when she found out the truth and eventually left to be with her mother since she was struggling with being around her loved ones in the village. But now that she is back, will Kim be able to convince her to give their friendship another chance?
Kim Refuses To Give Up On Lydia On Emmerdale
The latest Emmerdale spoilers reveal that Kim Tate has her mind made up. She has decided that she will not give up on Lydia, no matter what. Thus, when Lydia returns, her friend’s assertiveness in saving their friendship throws things between them temporarily. If she gives Kim another chance, it won’t just save their friendship but also could help her heal. Because Kim wants to stand in support of her and help her get past the trauma Craig left on her.
In a recent cameo, Lydia had appeared on a video call to her husband and stepson on Emmerdale. Over Christmas, she assured her family that she hadn’t abandoned them permanently and would return. So, in the heart of her heart, she still has love for all her loved ones. Perhaps a little push from them will once again enable her to open up to them again, including Kim. What do you think?
