Frazer Hines Makes His Small Screen Comeback Post Emmerdale Exit

Emmerdale former Frazer Hines reprised his role in the BBC One soap Doctor earlier this year. Hisbretur just comes before the series’ final episode. Let us tell you that the actor is best known for playing Joe Sugden. He became a household name during his tenure of 22 years, i.e.1972 to 1994.

Fans must remember that Joe was Jack Sugden’s younger brother and the son of Jacob and Annie Sugden. The character revolved mainly around romances, tragedies, and sibling rivalries. He also teamed up with Alan Turner as a business partner at Home Farm in Emmerdale.

However, Joe eventually died in a car crash after a year of the actor’s exit. Since then, the soap star has appeared in numerous programs, including Doctors, where he played former criminal Sonny Troughton. The star first appeared as Sonny in 2020 and reprised the role earlier this year.

Doctors is the long-running series, which the BBC axed in October. Its final episode is scheduled to air in December. Let us not forget that the show has been a launchpad for many renowned actors. Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten also made her mark on Doctors.

Ian Midlane, who portrayed Al Haskey, expressed his heartfelt pride for being part of the show, saying, “[I’m] So ridiculously, embarrassingly proud to have played Al for over eleven years on the most lovely and life-changing of jobs.” He expressed that his heart is full of love for the people of that show and the joyful, creative environment.
