Chris Chittell Bashes Emmerdale Storyline On Twitter

Emmerdale star Chris Chittell is the longest-serving cast member. He has never refrained from taking a dig at soap’s storylines. This time, he made a comment on the show’s ongoing plot involving Ethan Anderson. Meanwhile, his character recently swindled his neighbor, Kerry Wyatt, out of a lot of money.

Emile John (Ethan) took to social media to address a gripping storyline. In the plot, Ethan faces the prospect of jail time after a car crash leaves Nicky Milligan in a coma. Nicky’s parents, Caleb Miligan and Ruby Fox-Miligan, are by their son’s side. Meanwhile, the lawyer confides in his father, Charles Anderson.

However, the Emmerdale vicar makes the tough call to involve the police, leading to Ethan’s arrest. But things take a dark turn when Nicky’s family and uncle seek revenge, with one of them resorting to a chilling hit-and-run attack on Ethan. However, fans are not happy with the storyline.

One of the fans comments, “Really odd this Ethan story? He’s a man of the law, and he’s giving moral high ground to his dad?” They add that this makes no sense. The viewer continues, “How can you use no comment trick with solicitor next to you? Emmerdale do some right oddball scripts.”

Chris, who has made his account private, responds, “Methinks you are being polite!” The soap star also voiced his opinion back in 2022, speaking to the Soap from the Box podcast. He said, “The biggest change is the topic of storylines; they’re all sensationalist, which is a shame.”

He added that their job is to show real life, but these storylines are just over the top. Do you agree with him? Let us know in the comments below. For more such Emmerdale updates, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers!
