Emmerdale: Rhona Receives A Huge Shock, Gus Froze Her Embryos
Rhona Goskirk receives a huge shock when she finds out that her ex-husband, Gus, has frozen her embryos without taking her consent. Moreover, this doesn’t stop here. This is followed by the revelation that using Rhona’s embryos, a baby has been born. This happens after Gus’ arrival in Emmerdale to ask if he could use one of Rhona’s stored frozen embryos to have a child with his current wife, Lucy. Rhona was furious and shocked by his request. She had believed that the embryos were destroyed. Initially, she considered letting him use it, but later, she changed her decision for the good.
After the exit of Gus Malcolm from Emmerdale, Jane Hudson, the executive producer of Emmerdale, confirmed that Gus’s story was not over. He added that he will return as Rhona’s next big story. According to the reports, Rhona will be terrified after knowing that Gus has been deceiving her all this while. He had already used one of the embryos by faking her consent. And she is a mother to a baby who will be born before Christmas.
Actress Zoe Henry (Rhona) shared her thoughts on her character’s situation. She said that if these embryos will reach their fertility, Rhona will be a mother again, which is a real problem. She expressed, “She’s human and a mother, and she knows how hard that battle is. She’s caught between a rock and a hard place. But where do you draw the line?”
