In Emmerdale, things got intense between David Metcalfe and his stepson Jacob. After weeks of being in the shades, David finally found out about Jacob and Victoria’s (his ex) secret affair. As the couple was exposed, David was devastated and felt like he had been stabbed in his back. However, in the recent episode of Emmerdale, he went overboard by calling Victoria a ‘sex abuser.’ A heartbroken David even compared Victoria with Emmerdale’s villain, Maya. The whole situation led to Victoria deciding to call it off with Jacob. Is it really over for Jacob and Victoria? Or will they continue once David leaves?
Emmerdale: David Compares Victoria With Maya
In the Emmerdale episode of November 29, David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) is heartbroken as he discovers two major secrets. To begin with, he found out his son Jacob and his ex, Victoria, were having an affair behind his back. Later, He learned about his father’s Parkinson’s diagnosis through an accidental revelation. Soon after, Victoria couldn’t help but feel awful for separating the family exactly when they needed to be together. She called David and asked him to meet her.
Victoria realised when they met that the encounter would be difficult. She explained that her relationship with Jacob was not a fling. To which David replied, “‘The last person who said that was Maya.” Maya is an old villain of Emmerdale, who was David’s ex-girlfriend. She started sexually abusing Jacob when he was 16 and continued it for months. Later, she was sent to prison. Victoria was surprised by David’s words and called him ‘disgusting.’ She said, “He’s an adult. He makes his own choices.” She added, “I know that you wanted me back, but I want Jacob, and he wants me.”
However, David kept going and even told her that she just ‘bided her time’ until Jacob was older. To add, he labelled Victoria a ‘low-rent burger flipper.’ He mentioned that one time, she’d ‘nearly killed’ Jacob when she fed him food containing nuts, which triggered his allergies.
Are Victoria And Jacob Going To Break-Up?
When Emmerdale character Victoria stated that she and Jacob wanted to be together with their own consent, David claimed that Jacob didn’t even know what he wanted. He referred to his past romantic experiences. He stated, “‘Abused by Maya, his next girlfriend was murdered. But I know what he’s not going to get, and that’s you. You end this now.’ However, Jacob thought they could still make things work out, but Victoria had other thoughts in mind. She was aware that Leyla would never approve of their relationship as she didn’t like Victoria after the nuts incident.
After losing both parents at a young age, Victoria is very well familiar with the feeling of being ‘lonely and on your own.” Hence, she doesn’t want that to happen to anyone, especially because of her. She realised David and Pollar needed Jacob the most at this particular time. She tells Jacob to end their relationship as they can’t hurt David anymore.
