Earlier in Emmerdale, Mackenzie Boyd tries to trick Chloe into meeting him by stealing Amy’s phone. In the Thursday episode, a frustrated Chloe calls her father to help her out. Soon after, a familiar face shows up. He is no other than- Harry, also known as Damon Harris. From what we can recall, he is the man who kidnaps Chas in order to take revenge on Cain and Caleb, and he even beats Caleb up.
All this while, we were already aware that Chloe’s dad would surely be a danger to Emmerdale as he is on the darker side. But now that Chloe’s dad is back with her, it’s evident he hasn’t changed much. Like before, he is still keeping an eye on his daughter’s life. He revealed that when she was in the hospital after the car crash, he had an ‘arrangement with the nurses.’
Chloe’s drug and gun dealer father asked her daughter what she actually wanted. In response, she expressed her desire to start again with baby Reuben, far from Mack’s reach. Emmerdale Star Jessie Elland Talks About The New Twist, Says The Storyline Will Be ‘Juicy’
Recently, the Emmerdale Chloe actress Jessie Elland opened up about the new twist in her character’s storyline. The actress revealed that she found out about Chloe’s dad’s arrival in the Super Soap Week. She recalled the time she watched Robert Beck’s (Harry) episode and got excited to work with him.
She said, “It was exciting for me as an actress to know that his backstory has already been established, and it was going to get really juicy.” Talking about the Chloe-Harris relationship, Jessie revealed that Chloe does love her dad. However, she has always struggled with the dilemma of deciding how to balance her unconditional love with her realisation that he’s ethically wrong.
Emmerdale star Jessie also highlighted the fact that fans need to understand Chloe’s desperation that she had to call her father. Additionally, she’s trying to convince herself that it’s actually okay that he is a good person. Also, she is hopeful that maybe his feelings may change after seeing baby Reuben.
