Emmerdale star Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) has left everyone shocked after running away from the Dales. Bernice couldn’t face her sister about betraying her now that her scam had been exposed. Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) is devastated by her sister’s betrayal, and Gabby (Rosie Bentham) is heartbroken as her mother has abandoned her once again. With Samantha’s exit from the show, it is certain that Bernice isn’t returning anytime soon. Also, Samantha Gill has shared her future plans after quitting the show.
Emmerdale: After Betraying Sister Nicola, Bernice Is On The Run
In Emmerdale, it turns out Bernice has been lying about the funding all this while. Secretly, she has taken out a massive loan in Nicola’s name without informing her. The truth came out after bailiffs came to Nicola’s house and started removing her furniture. She was horrified to find out someone had taken out a £20,000 loan in her name. She went round to the B&B and found a hand-written letter addressed to her, where Bernice confessed she’d been the one to take out a fraudulent loan. Nicola was shocked beyond words. While breaking the news to Bob, she said, “She did this, and now she can’t face me, so she’s done a runner.”
Meanwhile, Bernice’s daughter Gabby feels abandoned again. Her mother left her when she was a small child. Her dad raised Gabby until Bernice came back to the village, and they met again. Bernice left the town again when she went to Australia. She didn’t come back until Gabby got pregnant with Thomas and moved in with the Tate family. It was only recently that the two of them began to get close.
Know Samantha’s Future Plans, Will Switch To Theatres
Emmerdale star Samantha, while speaking about her exit, said, “I’m sad to be leaving colleagues, and I loved getting my hair and make-up done every day. I shall miss that!” After confirming her exit last month, Samantha has now revealed her ‘versatile’ plan after leaving the show. She revealed that she is hoping to work on a “variety” of projects, including TV, theatre and books. Samantha will be seen playing the role of the wicked Stepmother in Cinderella at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre next. She said, “I’ve always wanted to work at that theatre, it is beautiful! It will be a new challenge as I’ve never done panto before.”
The Emmerdale actress also revealed she’d adapted her first Rosemary book into an 8-part TV series and written the first episode and series synopsis. She expressed, “My dream, though, would be to have one of my books made into a TV series as I have written myself parts in everything, so to be playing a character I have created would be amazing.” Undoubtedly, both Bernice’s exit story and Samantha’s journey after the show are going to be very exciting.
