Whitney Dean has not had an easy life on EastEnders. Ever since she arrived at Walford, 15 years ago, she has been swiftly moving from tragedy to tragedy. Including bearing the excruciating pain of losing her baby. Thus, it is understandable that she has apprehensions about going through another pregnancy. She is terrified of the ups and downs that come with it, and of course the uncertainty.
In light of the above, when Zack recently brought up the topic of having a bay together, Whitney shot down the idea on EastEnders. That became a huge hurdle in their path as a couple. It started to appear as though they would soon head toward a breakup. However, the latest spoilers reveal that the two of them have managed to reach an understanding, Zack and Whitney have decided that they will foster a child together.
Zack and Whitney’s Next Big Move On EastEnders
Fostering a child, perhaps, seems like their next best option on EastEnders. Considering that Whitney is not mentally ready to try pregnancy again. Terminating her previous pregnancy took a real toll on her. She and Zack were forced to end their pregnancy when their unborn baby, Peach, was diagnosed with Edward’s Syndrome. Additionally, Zack was also struggling with his diagnosis of being HIV positive. However. His recent test results revealed that his viral load has reduced drastically and is almost undetectable.
This happy news was what pushed Zack to broach the topic of trying for a baby with Whitney on EastEnders. But due to her previous failed pregnancies, Whitney offered adoption or fostering as the only alternatives she was willing to opt for. Initially, Zack shot down the idea because he wanted to his own child. However, not wanting to lose the love of his life, Zack started to reconsider. Later Sharon told him that getting adopted was perhaps the best thing that happened to her.
This went a long way in convincing Zack that it was not a bad idea. Thus, he apologized to Whitney for his earlier lash out on EastEnders. Furthermore, he confessed that he loves her more than he has ever before. And that together they can give a child a great life. Moreover, he poignantly noted that biology is not important for loving a child. We wonder how this all will tie in with Shona McGarty’s exit from the soap. Perhaps the two will decide to adopt a child and then head off into the sunset as a happy family for their own version of a Happily Ever After! Do you think something like this will happen?
