TV Season & Spoilers reported to you a while ago that EastEnders icon, Shona McGarty has decided to exit the BBC One soap. The actress had been portraying the character of Whitney on the soap since April 2008. She was barely 16 years old at the time and has practically grown with the show. But now, with her decision to spread her wings and fly away, her character too is getting written off. Ever since the news broke out, fans had been hoping that Whitney gets a happy ending. Considering that she has only even seen tragedy on the soap.
Well, now the latest EastEnders spoilers are hinting towards what Whitney’s exit storyline is going to be. Thankfully, fans will not be disappointed. However, being heartbroken over her exit is a different matter. Previously, on the BBC One soap, when Zack found out his viral load has become undetectable, he proposed to Whitney the idea of trying for another baby. Unfortunately, after suffering a miscarriage and losing their baby peach, she just couldn’t find it in her heart to g through another pregnancy. Thus, she declined the proposal.
EastEnders: Whitney and Zack Take The Next Big Step
Despite not wanting a pregnancy, Whitney had another suggestion to have a baby on EastEnders. She told Zack that they could adopt or foster a child. But he rejected the idea. It started to look like they were on the verge of breaking up. However, after some interventions from their loved ones, Zack accepted Whitney’s idea. Now, the latest spoilers reveal that Whitney will reach out to a fostering service. Although the service will give them the green light to foster a child. But there will be a requirement that the couple will have to fulfill.
The Fostering service will inform Whitney that she and Zack will have to have a house of their own to be able to be eligible for being foster parents. Currently, on EastEnders, Zack and Whitney are living with Chelsea and Felix. Thus, to clear the criteria, the couple will now have to move out of the house. And in most likelihood, Zack and Whitney will end up getting a house away from Walford! This will make an easy way out for Shona to exit the soap and Whitney and Zack to ride into the sunset for their happily ever after!
