EastEnders spoilers have teased, much to fans’ excitement, that soap icon, Patrick (Rudolph Walker) is returning in the week of July 3, 2023. The BBC soap’s legend had left the square earlier in March, after a big win on the horses. Feeling like his luck was on the rise, Patrick decided to set off in search of his lost love, Yolande. Now, whether or not Patrick was able to track her down is yet to be seen! But this much is assured that Patrick is returning to Walford next week!
However, much to his horror, Patrick will return to EastEnders to fins his family in shambles. He will be devastated to learn about Kim’s car-crash and the subsequent legal troubles she is facing. He will express his disappointment over the fact that no one bothered to inform him about the family’s misfortune. At some point next week, Denise will ask Patrick how his search for Yolande panned out. But Patrick will conspicuously evade the topic, and move the focus to Jack and Denise’s marital troubles.
This deliberate attempt by Patrick to avoid talking about Yolande is enough hint that the EastEnders legend definitely found something about her, but is trying to keep it a secret. Thankfully, the latest spoilers tease that we won’t have to wait long to find out! Actress Angela Wynter is soon returning to the BBC soap to reprise her role as Yolande Trueman. In a recent chat with the media, the popular actress admitted that she had been really looking forward to playing Yolande again. Furthermore, Angela added that she is thankful to the cast and crew “for the warm welcome back.”
Chris Clenshaw Points at Yolande and Patrick’s Unfinished Business On EastEnders
EastEnders boss, Chris Clenshaw, couldn’t contain his excitement at having the phenomenal actress back in the fold. “I’m thrilled to welcome the immensely talented Angela back,” he gushed. Talking further about Yolande’s comeback, Crish pointed out that her previous exit after her breakup with Patrick left a lot of “unfinished business.” Therefore, it was important to bring her back and explore a reunion story between Yolande and Patrick.
This, of course, comes as great news for the fans, as many EastEnders loyalists feel that she is indeed Patrick’s soulmate. However, whether or not Yolande and Patrick work out their previous issues and reconcile is yet to be seen! But there is certainly hope for a reunion, and we have our fingers crossed!
