Rob Kazinsky rose to fame for portraying Sean Slater on EastEnders, The actor had portrayed the character on the BBC One soap on and off for nearly two decades now. However, the 39 year old performer made the headlines when he posted a life update on Instagram in August, 2023. He uploaded a photo of himself showing his then current body shape. “Here is day one, my starting off point,” he wrote in the caption. Further adding that he weighed 220lbs, with a 19.7% body fat. He then wnet on to explain his decision to focus on and document his fitness journey on social media.
“I turn 40 in a few months and one thing I’ve learned is that it’s getting harder and harder every single day,” the EastEnders star shared with his fans and followers. Adding that training and recovering is not as easy anymore. He also added that he can’t do things anymore the way he did them when he was in his 20’s. Moreover, he pointed that his intention was t get into “superhero shape” without indulging in steroids. He even announced that he was soon going to begin boxing training to improve his skills. Unfortunately, the updates stopped with the very first post.
It wasn’t until this week that we saw any updates from Rob. He recently took to his Instagram to announce that multiple injuries and illness has slowed down his progress. “One of the massive disadvantages of getting older is injuries happen more often and last longer,” the EastEnders star wrote. Further adding that in his 20’s a muscle pull would heal in two days. Now, if he pulls a muscle, it takes him two weeks to heal from it. He then went on to give a detailed description of everything that he went through in the last couple of months. Including being in and out of the hospital for flu and stomach issues. Unfortunately, as soon as he recovered from that he was hot by a wave of COVID, and then he suffered a slip disc and rib injuries.
That being said, Rob still added some progress pictures, and we have to admit there is a difference! Despite the fact that he countered many difficulties along the way, and continues to do so, he still managed to drop some weight. He looks visibly leaner in his new photos as compared to the previous ones. In the end, Rob concluded his progress report by stating that “it doesn’t matter how many times you fail as long as you get up one time more than you fall.” And we agree! What do you think?
