EastEnders: Max Lands Himself a New Acting Gig!
The EastEnders star will tour the UK later this year, portraying the co-lead role of Jack Firebrace. Max Bowden is totally excited about it, as it’s a project close to his heart! Max wrote, “Birdsong highlights the tragedy of war, yet the beauty of humanity simultaneously through strong relationships under extreme circumstances.”
EastEnders fame Bowden can’t wait to bring Jack to life! Birdsong tells the story of Stephen Wraysford and his love, Isabelle Azaire, who are torn apart by war. Stephen heads off to lead troops in the Battle of the Somme as war breaks out. And get this: He’s not just fighting for his country but for their love, too! Furthermore, The Girl on The Train writer Rachel Wagstaff has adapted the classic play with Alastair Whatley as the director.
Whatley is pumped to have the EastEnders legend back on board after their previous project. The director said, “I cannot wait to get back in the rehearsal room with Max to explore one of Sebastian’s most unforgettable characters.” The duo worked together on the 2016 tour of Birdsong, during which Max took on the role of Tipper, a young soldier.
Meanwhile, Ben is going through the winger on Eastenders after getting caught up in his past crimes. He’s itching for Phil to bail him out as he faces potential jail time in the US.
