EastEnders Star Lorraine Stanley Admits To Facing Struggle With New Work, Seeks Help

TV Season & Spoilers has regularly been updating EastEnders fans with all the news about Lorraine Stanley’s exit from the BBC One soap. She has starred as Karen Taylor on the long-running soap for over 6 years now, and has been a total hit with the fans. Thus, when the news first broke out about her character being written out, it came as a complete shock. The actress herself admitted to being totally blindsided by the sudden and unexpected development.

However, a source close to the production had asserted that it was a necessary move and demand on the story on EastEnders. Lorraine has already wrapped up her filming, and her final scenes will roll out on the screen soon. Now, the soap star has offered an update to her fans about all that she is up to in light of her exit.

“Just finished one, and it’s hard work… I’ll get there,” she declared to her fans as she updated them about her new audition tapes. As Lorraine shared earlier, she is excited to try new avenues after exiting EastEnders. And to do the same, she has set up an audition space in her loft. Thankfully, she got help from her former co-star – Zack Morris. Fans will remember that Zack used to portray her on-screen son – Keegan Baker.

The former EastEnders star helped Lorraine decide on the right equipment for her self-taped audition setup. That includes – lights, a tripod, a backdrop, and a chair. Furthermore, she also shared that she has already taped a few auditions. However, she is struggling a little with trying not to be over-critical of how they have turned out. But we love how excited she is about her new endeavors and is taking her exit in her stride.

Having said that, we still don’t know how exactly Karen will exit the soap. However, with every new EastEnders episode, it is getting clearer that it will have something to do with Phil exposing her and Keanu. For the fake kidnapping, they staged Albie. It is quite possible that she will take the fall for her son and accept the full blame on herself. Thus, giving him a new lease of life on the soap with Sharon. What do you think?
