EastEnders Star Lashes Out At Fan, [THIS] Is Why

Being a celebrity is all fun and games, until you realize how coarsely your sense of privacy can get breached. EastEnders star Danny Hatchard just experienced it in the worst possible manner. The actor rose to fame for portraying Lee Carter on the BBC One soap. However, these days he is headlining a show in venues all across the UK as part of The Full Monty tour. He is portraying the lead character of Gaz. A role which was originally brought to life by by Once Upon A Time star Robert Carlyle in the 1997 film.

Luckily for the EastEnders star the show opened to rave reviewed. Both, from the audiences, as well as, the critics. However, one member of the audience went a little overboard. And ended up snapping a few pictured of the finale of the act, which rubbed Danny the wrong way. For those who are not aware of the story, The Full Monty narrates the tale of six unemployed men. Who ultimately come together to form a male striptease act in order to make some cash.

The final scene of the act ends with the six men stripping nude on stage. However, just because something is happening on stage, does not mean it is okay to record it. In fact, several theaters and venues have a strict no video and no photo policy. So as to safeguard their performers’ privacy. Unfortunately, some people just do not understand the seriousness of this. But the EastEnders star took to his social media to address the issue and school the woman who captured his nude picture from the show.

EastEnders Star Speaks Up

Danny wrote a note on his X account, addressing it directly “To the woman who took a photo,” at the end of todays performance of full Monty with a flash on. “Hope you’re happy you Pervy disrespectful low life.” His stern comment was short but on point. In fact, many of the EastEnders’ star’s fans and followers also agreed with his statement. One of them agreed that it is a very disrespectful behaviour and that they support Danny. Another chimed in by adding that “Nobody has any right to take a photo of you without your consent, especially not a naked photo.”

Well, we don’t know if the message has reached the woman it was intended for or not. But it will surely serve as a reminder for people to not do something like this in the future.
