The soap actor Jonny Freeman has really caught the attention of EastEnders fans. Viewers of the BBC One soap might know him as Reiss Colwell, Sonia Fowler’s supportive partner. The shy and socially awkward character first turned up in 2022 during Dot’s goodbye. Colwell’s is the guy who’s all about chequered shirts and cosy nights with a book and tea instead of hitting the pub. EastEnders: The Reiss Actor Looks UNRECOGNISABLE!
EastEnders fans recently came across a snap of Jonny out of the character of Reiss Colwell, and boy, did he look strikingly different. The Reiss we all know looks nothing like Johnny. Fans took to social media to point out the obvious! One user joked, “Very handsome, we should have kept him like that!” while another added, “What a difference…shocker!”
Additionally, the EastEnders actor has gained quite a popularity with his several roles. These include Silent Witness, Holby City, and Top Boy. And let’s not forget his regular stint on CBBC’s M.I. High, playing Frank London, the undercover spy caretaker at the school. The show follows the lives of teenagers at school who are recruited and trained to become agents.
As for EastEnders, Jonny’s Reiss has hooked up with Sonia Fowler since landing in Walford. The couple have been actively looking into IVF for a baby. Furthermore, fans know Reiss for his sharp-tongue who is not afraid to speak his mind. However, this very trait often lands him in hot water with Sonia. Their IVF journey has been an emotional rollercoaster, but it paid off when Sonia announced she was pregnant.
Meanwhile, Reiss keeps getting into trouble, especially with Sonia’s family, due to his meddling habit. When Whitney brought Britney to Albert Square, she fibbed about being her legal guardian.
