Actress Danielle Harold has truly carved a special place for herself on television. Especially with her EastEnders portrayal of Lola Pearce. She recently stepped away from the BBC One soap after her character died in an extremely emotional brain-tumor storyline. Her flawless performance not only won her some highly coveted awards, but also immense praise from the viewers. However, these days she is in the news for a very different reason!
For the longest while now, rumors have been floating that Danielle is dating her EastEnders co-star Jamie Borthwick. Interestingly, Jamie’s character Jay was also romantically involved with Lola. Perhaps that is exactly what has formed the base of the rumors. Although Danille has now exited the soap as Lola, Jamie as Jay is still mourning her loss on the soap. And we have to admit is doing a commendable job portraying those emotions that truly pull at our heart strings.
Tales about Jamie and Danille’s alleged romance started making rounds when the two of them were spending a lot of time together towards the end of Danille’s run on EastEnders. However, the reason for that was perhaps that Lola and Jay had some really special scenes right before the former’s passing. Now, in a chat with Fabulous Magazine, Danielle has finally opened up about her relationship with co-star Jamie Borthwick.
“It makes me laugh so much, I’d hate to squash it!” Danielle tells the magazine. Apparently the actress finds the rumors so funny that she wants them to continue circulating. However, jokes apart, Danielle confirmed to the media that she is not dating Jamie. In fact, she is not dating anyone at all presently. “I’ve got no time, which is something to feel really lucky about.” She points that she is very busy at the moment and is not even thinking about a relationship. Moreover, she joked that Jamie has become a husband that she never wanted or even asked for.
Danielle also quashed all rumors that suggest her participation in the reality show I’m a celebrity. She confirmed that she won’t be heading to the Australian jungles. Furthermore, the EastEnders star pointed that people just start throwing names every time a new show is about to hit the screens. However, she surely has filmed for Channel 4’s celebrity version of Hunted. So in case you were wondering where to watch her again, you can start there!
