The latest gossip has it that an actor we haven’t seen on EastEnders in the past 34 years will make his way back. There are some other characters returning too. Duncan Boyd Is RETURNING
All the EastEnders fans can rejoice because the latest casting information confirms that actor David Gillespie is coming back to the soap opera to reprise his role of Duncan Boyd. This return news has not just left the fans shocked, but EastEnders spoilers suggest that it has even left Letitia Dean’s character Sharon Watts in shock.
Long-time viewers would recall Duncan appeared on the soap back in the late eighties and was the curate of the local church. He supported Sharon after her relationship with Angie fell apart, and soon, Sharon started developing feelings for the reverend. They subsequently got engaged and were supposed to marry.
However, things took a new twist when Sharon called off the wedding when she came to know Duncan was offered a job at the parish in Wilshire. It has been almost 34 years since we last saw him on the soap opera. Now, EastEnders spoilers confirm that he will once again return to the show to officiate Albie’s Christening, and he will be shocked when he comes face to face with Sharon and realizes she has a little boy.
While we are very happy to see him return, there is a little sad news because his time at the Walford will be limited. With that said, his coming in for a little time doesn’t mean that it will not shake things up in the town. As Sharon’s romantic history comes to the surface, things will shake up.
EastEnders: Billy Mitchell Makes His Way Back Too
The EastEnders spoilers confirm that soap veteran Billy Mitchell will also make his way back to the soap opera. The beloved character hasn’t been on the show since February, but thankfully he will return next week. Fans would recall that Billy left Albert Square after he got a new job elsewhere. While he did not want to leave initially, he wanted to be there for Lola. However, he finally had to leave when his financial problems started mounting up.
Now when Billy returns this April 24, 2023, he will face a big shocker.
