Emotions are running high on EastEnders, with many intense storylines currently underway on the BBC One drama. However, one of the most heartbreaking stories that is to play out in the upcoming episodes is that regarding Aunt Sal. The entire Mitchell clan and all their loved ones will be coming together to bid her a tearful goodbye at her funeral.
However, soon after the tearjerker story plays out, there is going to be a break in between. BBC One has confirmed that there is a scheduling change for EastEnders next week. Usually, the soap airs a fresh episode every day between Monday and Thursday. But in the upcoming week, there won’t be a fresh episode on Tuesday. The channel will instead be airing an FA Cup coverage. However, there is a saving grace here! The channel will air a fresh episode on Friday to compensate for the missed airing on Tuesday.
EastEnders spoilers say that the next week’s episodes will see the Mitchell clan sticking together at the funeral. However, the drama won’t be at bay, either. During the proceedings, Sam learns that her brother Phil slept with Emma just days before his wedding to Kat Slater. Now, in light of the huge wealth she, Phil, and Grant are to inherit from Aunt Sal. Sam has a dirty trick up her sleeves.
She decides to blackmail Phil into relinquishing his share of the inheritance to her in exchange for her silence on EastEnders. But the Phil we know does not give in that easily. Especially to blackmail and stonewalling. So be prepared for some explosive drama down the line on the BBC One soap. Also, watch out for Aunt Sal’s much-spoken-about husband to finally show up on screen. Seasoned actor David Sterne has been cast to play the role.
