EastEnders fans have missed Sam Mitchell for quite some time on the BBC One soap. However, the upcoming week brings some good news for Sam fans, as she finally returns to the square. However, her homecoming won’t be all hugs and kisses. In fact, it will be overshadowed by a thick cloud of drama. As it turns out, Sam has a drug mafia on her tails, as she owes him a pile of money. With every passing episode, we are stepping closer and closer to the explosively dramatic Christmas special on EastEnders. However, ahead of the big festive story, the fans will witness another shot of drama with Sam’s return. Since April, 2023, she had been in Spain for a job opportunity. However, she finally returns home in the upcoming episodes. Earlier, it was expected that she will return to be closer to her son and her grandchild. But, as it turns out, she is looking to pay off her debt.
Sam Lands Neck Deep In Trouble on EastEnders
Sam owes a pile of money to a deadly drug boss on EastEnders. Thus, upon her return, she asks her brother- Phil for financial help. But Kat takes an instant distaste to the idea of Phil helping her. However, the couple soon fall on Sam’s side when they witness the drug mafia assaulting Sam. Phil stops the man from pulling Sam into the back of his van and promises to give him the money that Sam owes him. Later, she visits her son Ricky and his daughter, hoping to reconnect with them.
However, much to her distress, Ricky treats her rather coldly on EastEnders. He is visibly upset and hurt by the fact that she has been town for several days. Yet she chose to stay away from him. Sam tries to explain that she had some major trouble following her. But her please fall on deaf ears. Speaking about Sam’s return, soap boss – Chris Clenshaw promised that there will be many intense and unpredictable scenes ahead. He added that Sam is the kind of character who can land at the Mitchell’s at any moment, cause trouble, and leave abruptly.
