EE/ George and Cindy come closer

EastEnders never fails to surprise their fans with the comeback of old characters who were once deeply cherished. One such character had set foot in Walford last year. Michelle Collins had “resurrected” her character of Cindy Beale from the dead. She last departed after faking her own death in 1998.

Cindy’s OG fans are bustling with excitement ever since her long-awaited return. They obviously want to see more of her and stay in touch with the actress. Not long ago, Michelle let the cat out of the bag when asked by a fan about her old job on the soap. Keep on reading to know what the actress replied.

EastEnders: Michelle Makes A Big Revelation

Michelle Collins has disclosed why she is prohibited from working behind Walford’s famous pub! Michelle’s return as Cindy has sparked the talk among fans. However, one fan was puzzled by the fact that she hadn’t taken back her old job at the Queen Vic bar. They wrote on X that they had just started re-watching EastEnders when Cindy came and had enjoyed all the brilliant storylines. They’re also looking forward to Cindy being the queen of the Vic with George. To which Michelle replied jokingly, “Ha ha! Thank you, but I’m not good with props; I worked in the #oldvic @bbceastenders years ago. She finally revealed, “I got sacked for breaking too many glasses !”

Now you know why you would never find Cindy working behind the pub again: the soap bosses love their GLASSES! The 61-year-old actress reprised her role as Cindy Beale on the BBC soap last year. Collins first took on the role in 1988. She became a well-known face upon her original debut. Cindy was the first of Walford womaniser Ian Beale’s six wives.

EastEnders

Cindy was a woman with ill repute. She had affairs and also kidnapped her own children. She was ultimately sent to prison in 1998 for hiring the hitman to kill Ian. Later, it was revealed that she died off-screen in childbirth with daughter Cindy Jr. Surprisingly, Cindy emerged from the dead in August last year. Her character had been in witness protection through all these years.

Her latest stint hasn’t been very smooth, though. She was compelled to miss filming as she was stranded in Malaga without a passport. Subsequently, Michelle took to X, pleading with her airline to allow her to fly home. Do you also miss seeing the OG queen behind the Vic? Tell us in the comments.
