EastEnders: Jean Helps Lily Navigate Motherhood

The grandmother and granddaughter had a heart-to-heart conversation about Lily’s struggles with motherhood. The teen mom admitted that she feels like she is failing as a mother. Moreover, just as Charli began crying, Lily became even more overwhelmed and lost. Jean then rose up to her help and gently guided her what to do and how to handle Charli. Unlike Stacey, who was wanting to take control completely. All the more making Lily feel less of a mom.

Jean then went on to assure Lily that it takes everyone a little time to get used to motherhood. Not feeling too motivated, Lily confessed to Jean that she fears Charli will love Stacey more on EastEnders. This completely caught her nan off-guard. Thus, she comforted her granddaughter not to think that way. She reminded Lily that even she and Stacey have made mistakes as mothers over the years. Jean’s encouraging words did bring a smile on Lily’s face. But something tells us that Lily’s struggles are far from over.
