EastEnders: Ian Unwittingly Pushes Cindy Closer To George, What Will Happen Now?

EastEnders took viewers by shock when the soap revealed the previously presumed dead Cindy Beale as alive. Furthermore, the shock value doubled when it came to surface that Cindy also happens to be George Knight’s missing wife, Rose. From that moment on, we knew a storm was building. And the only thing standing between the storm and Walford was Cindy’s happy life in France with Ian and Peter.

However, that changed rather quickly when Peter arrived in Walford to get to know his step-sisters, Anna and Gina. Cindy followed him home soon after on EastEnders. Much to Ian’s dismay, of course. As he had been doing his level best to keep Cindy away from their old life in Walford. At first it felt like he just didn’t want to go back to a toxic life. But it soon became clear that his reasons were quite different. In reality, Ian knew that George Knight had moved into The Vic with his daughters.

Ian’s Worst Fears About To Come True On EastEnders?

Ian was scared that if Cindy moved back home and met George on EastEnders, his own happy reunion with her will get threatened. He did not want to take the risk of Cindy and George coming close to each other all over again. But going by Ian’s bewildering acts, if his fears do come true, he will have no one but his own behaviour to blame. In the September 7, 2023 episode, Ian admitted to Alfie that he did not like Bobby and Anna’s closeness. Alfie told him that Freddie and Anna had a fling the other night.

Later, at the Vic, when Ian felt triggered by George and saw Freddie and Anna together on EastEnders he acted out. Ian announced to the townies that Anna and Freddie were a thing. Moreover, they ahd been going at it “like rabbits.” Infuriated by his words, Anna’s sis, Gina, punched Ian’s face. Cindy told Ian that he really did deserve it for his thoughtful behaviour. Bobby too. told his father that he was being selfish and vindictive.
