In a dark and unexpected twist of tale, Suki and Eve’s love story has come to a screeching halt on EastEnders. In the recent episodes, when Vinny gave his mother his blessings and support to run away with her lover, we thought we will finally get the reunion we had waited for all year. But when has life ever been that easy for anyone in Walford? Especially, when someone as nasty and villainous as Nish Panesar is involved in the dynamic.
Suki’s murderous husband recently found out about her affair with Eve on EastEnders. Following which, he decided to pull the plug on any future possibility of the dalliance. By plucking Eve out of the equation forever. Nish used Suki’s phone to send Eve a message and request a meeting as Suki. Of course, Eve readily agreed. However, when she arrived at the location, she was shocked to see Nish. The abuser flew in a rage and hit Eve on the head. Then commanded Ravi to finish her off in the woods.
However, once alone with Ravi, Eve managed to convince him to let her go alive on EastEnders. After some hesitation, he agreed. But only on the condition that she vanishes. Furthermore, he threatened her that if she ever returned, Stacey and Suki both will die. Eve begrudgingly agreed. In the upcoming episodes, Eve will skip town and be gone from Suki’s life forever. But will she ever return? Going bye actress Heather Peace’s social media, we think not.
Heather Peace’s Cryptic Goodbye To EastEnders
As soon as the revelation storyline hit the screen, EastEnders star Heather Peace (Eve) started posting messages on Instagram that sound a whole lot like goodbye! It pains us to say this, but it looks like Eve will be gone for a good time to come. “It’s been a precious thing,” Heather wrote under a picture of Eve and Suki. Furthermore, she added that she has absolutely loved the story and the way the makers delivered it with love and care. Heather also shared that Suki’s story has resonated with so many people, and even Eve’s perspective.
Heather thanks the EastEnders makers for telling Eve and Suki’s story in real time. She admitted that she had never seen a love like that growing up, so it certainly means a lot to her. “I feel blessed to have worked alongside so many beautiful actors too who also care about story telling,” she signed off. Now. nowhere does she say goodbye explicitly. But the whole tone and the gutting past tense makes it sound a lot like she is hanging her hat as Eve for now.
Although, we are still holding on to the hope that this is just a diversion from something big. Maybe Eve will return on the brink of Christmas. After all, Suki is part of The Six.
