EastEnders Comings And Goings: Interesting RETURNS And EXITS This 2023

The upcoming months on EastEnders will see a lot of shakeup in terms of the cast. The latest casting information reveals that viewers will have to bid goodbye to a number of cast members, but on the Brightside, we will get to see some new faces too. Who is coming and leaving the soap opera? Keep reading to find out.

New Faces Join The Cast!

The first on the list of actors joining the cast is actress Vicki Michelle who will come into the soap opera to play the character of Jo Cotton. Jo Cotton is Rocky Cotton’s estranged wife. They married 25 years ago, but their marriage ended on pretty bad terms. Could she be returning to EastEnders and ruining Kathy Beale’s engagement? Another actor joining is Molly Rainford is also coming into EastEnders. The mill has it; she will be a part of a new family who will take over the Queen Vic Pub.

Some EastEnders reports suggest that actors, including Adam Woodyatt, who plays the character of Ian Beale, and Louisa Lytton, who plays Ruby Allen, might also be returning. Last year, the EastEnders EP Chris Clenshaw spoke about how they have left a room open for these returns. So, maybe, they might be on their way back this time around.

EastEnders: Who Is LEAVING?

Sadly, there are a number of characters and actors on their way out of the soap opera. First on the list is Dr. Ash Kaur, played by actress Gurlaine Kaur Garcha who will leave this March 2023. She will get a dream job offer in Canada away from her family, and she will take it. Next is Emma Harding, who plays the character of Patsy Kensit. Patsy came into the town as Lola’s long-lost mother, Emma, last year and first appeared in January. However, now she has announced her exit and thanked everyone.

Lastly, we have Lola Pearce-Brown, who will also be exciting. EastEnders viewers keeping up with the soap opera know that EP Chris Clenshaw had announced that they are not renewing Lola’s contract. So, she will be on her way out by the end of her storyline. Right now, in the soap opera, Lola has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and she is fighting it tooth and nail. However, this fight won’t last forever, and the end will not be the one fans hope for.

This is sad that we have to let go of all of these fan-favourite actors and characters, but on the Brightside, EastEnders continues to bring an engaging storyline that will bring you to the edge of your seats. Make sure you tune in and enjoy. The soap opera airs on BBC One Monday-Friday. Don’t miss the action. In the meantime, TV Season & Spoilers will keep updating you with all the latest news.
