Many EastEnders fans often hop on to iPlayer to catch early streaming of fresh episodes. That becomes especially true when the popular BBC One soap has a secret waiting to explode. However, this Christmas all fans will have to take the traditional route towards their television sets to watch the mega mystery of the year unfold.
The latest EastEnders news updates reveal that there will be no early release on iPlayer for the Christmas special episode. Fans will have to tune into the live telecast on December 25, 2023 at 9:45 p.m. to watch which male character dies at The Vic. However, the news reports do confirm that the aftermath episode that is scheduled for Boxing Day, will make it’s way early to iPlayer at 6 a.m.
This is actually a very exciting turn in the scheduling if you ask us. Because the TV Christmas special EastEnders episode releases at 9:45 p.m. Meanwhile, the aftermath episode will be up on iPlayer only within a few hours. Which means the fans will find out what happens after the murder in less than a 12 hour gap! Not a bad deal at all!

We already know that “The Six” matriarchs of Walford assemble at The Vic on Christmas Day to share their woes. Each of the have already had their special EastEnders episode that showcased their personal struggle. However, at least one of them gets pushed beyond their limits on Christmas Day. The said conflict then ends in murder! As of now, Keanu, Nish, Ravi and Dean are pretty ahead in the running to be the victim.
Although, the recent episode did see Nish being arrested on EastEnders. But that does not mean he can’t find his way out of prison to have one last volatile confrontation with Suki. Especially, now that Eve is back. But then, there is also the possibility of a similar confrontation between Sharon and Keanu. The spoilers reveal that Phil interrupts their wedding to expose the groom. So, could Keanu end up dead in the aftermath of that expose?
