Actress Carli Norris made a blazing entry into Walford back in 2016. She stepped into the character of Belinda Peacock, the sister of EastEnders icons Kat, Lynne, and Little Mo. A role that was previously played by actress Leanne Lakey. Carli’s Belinda came into town armed with accusations that Kat killed their father, Charlie, after he had died of a heart attack. Unfortunately, Carli’s stint was rather short-lived on the BBC One soap. After some interesting storylines of romance and tragedies, she exited the show in November 2016.
Carli has not appeared on EastEnders ever since. However, the talented actress is making headlines yet again! Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with her role as Belinda on the soap. In fact, it seems like Carli Norris might have put her days of acting behind her. At least for a while. As, she has dipped her toes in a new venture! Carli has opened an online clothing store called Chocodolly that sells vintage clothing. Although the fine star is probably busy with her new business, the possibility of her return should not be completely rejected. There is still hope for her fans to see her on screen.
Will Carli Ever Return To EastEnders?
In a chat with Inside Soap, Carli had admitted that if she ever returned to soaps, it would be EastEnders. “I had a great time” on the BBC One soap, she had stated. However, she had also expressed her exasperation over Belinda being written out of the story at the time. “It was a shame when Belinda left, as she was funny and brought glamour to Walford,” Carli pointed. Interestingly, Inside Soap Awards had even nominated her as the funniest female for her role in EastEnders in 2016.
Apart from portraying Belinda on EastEnders, Carli has also to her credit the roles of Anoushka Flynn in Doctors and Martha Kane in Hollyaoks. The 49-year-old star was born on June 23, 1974, in Barking, Essex, England. Apart from enjoying a riveting career, she also enjoys a wonderful family life with her husband, Dom Atkins.
