The last time we saw Tyler Moon on EastEnders was back in August 2013 when he decided to leave Walford behind and join his brother to work on a cruise ship. Actor Tony Discipline had joined the BBC One show on June 27, 2011. Tony arrived to town with his father and brother, Eddy and Anthony Moon. He started off with working at his family owned Antique Emporium in Walford.
During his short two year stint on EastEnders, Tony rapidly shot to fame with his stellar performance of the cheeky but quite likable Tyler Moon. In the years that he remained part of the BBC soap, he was involved in some really major storylines. For instance the one where he suffered a seizure after a boxing match. Additionally, his on and off romance with Whitney Dean was also quite well received by the fans. Just thinking back to their chemistry brings a smile to our face.
It would be nice to have him return to Walford for a visit, would’t it? But would Tony ever return to EastEnders? Well, let’s find out from the horse’s mouth! In a chat with The Sun the talented actor admitted that he would definitely be interested in reprising the character. “I loved my time there. It was a great chapter in my life,” Tony expressed. Furthermore, he added that if the opportunity ever came up, he would “definitely be interested.”
Can Tyler Return To Walford On EastEnders?
The EastEnders alum also opened up about how it won’t be unbelievable for his character to return. After all, Tyler is still very much alive, so he could return if he wanted. He just left to join his brother Anthony on a cruise ship. “They must have got stuck in the Arctic because it’s been a long old cruise,” Tony wagered. Reflecting back on his early days on the soap. Tony expressed his gratitude to his co-star, David Essex for always calming his nerves on the set. He played Tyler’s father, Eddie Moon.
Tony joked that when he turned up on the EastEnders set. He told David that he has no idea what he is doing. The actor recalled that David laughed in response and said, “Don’t worry son, none of us do.” Ever since his stint on EastEnders, Tony has mostly been away from the limelight. He has been occupied with dividing his time working as a firefighter, and his co-ownership of a mobile trailer bar service. However, he has still been acting. In fact, his next project is a film named Dream Hacker. It is due for release later this year.
The EastEnders alum shared that he loves his firefighting work, as it makes him feel that he is giving back to the community. As for his mobile trailer bar, he joked that some of his customers have nicknamed it “the Little Vic.” Well, we have to agree that’s super cute!
