EastEnders recently shook it’s audience by bringing back the iconic Cindy Beale and reuniting her with her former husband, Ian. By bringing back a character that was previously presumed deceased, the makers gave hope to the fans that perhaps some of their other favourite characters could return too! While, the final call of reuniting past characters lies in the hands of the makers, there are some off-screen reunions that manifest on their own!
EastEnders alum, Shaheen Jafargholi, just treated the BBC soap fans to one such pleasant reunion! And we bet it is going to put a big smile on your face! Shaheen recently attended the wedding ceremony of friend in Marquee. But guess what? he was not the only EastEnders star in attendance! His former co-stars, Tilly Keeper and Jasmine Armfield were also part of the celebrations! Sheheen took to his Instagram account to post some stunning snapshots from the glamorous affair!
EastEnders Alums Share The Frame Together!
The first picture of his carousel post features him all decked up in formals, bow tie and all! Shaheen looks absolutely dapper as he poses with a bouquet of flowers! Did he bring it for the bride, or caught it when she flung? Your guess is as good as ours, because he isn’t spilling! the following pictures feature the bride and the groom, and his EastEnders co-stars! Shaheen Jafargholi captioned his post, “besties got married,” and concluded with a cute home emoji!
For the unversed, Shaheen Jafargholi played the character of Shakil Kazemi on EastEnders. He exited the soap when his character passed away after a violent stabbing. The episode that featured his funeral also paid homage to real-life victims of stabbing incidents. Jasmine Armfield also was on the BBC soap between 2014 and 2020. The stunning star played the character of Bex Fowler, Shakil’s girlfriend. She left the show when her character, Bex, started to crack under the pressure of family issues and education. Eventually, she skipped Walford in favour of travelling the world.
Seeing Shaheen and Jasmine share a frame together, definitely brings back fond memories of the time they were together on EastEnders. How lovely it would be to see them together on the screen again. Unfortunately, considering that Shaheen’s character really did die, it would be more than tricky to bring him back. However, Jasmine’s Bex could definitely find her way back home, since her parents still live in Walford! So if you loved watching her as Bex, all hopes are not gone!
