After much ado, Kathy Beale and Rocky Cotton have finally managed to say “We Do” on EastEnders! Despite the hindrances created by Rocky’s ex-wife, Jo Cotton, he and Kathy proceeded to tie the knot at the registrar’s office. After the wedding, the newlyweds came back to Albert Square in an unparalleled fashion! Rocky and Kathy rode back as man and wife in a vintage horse-drawn carriage! Right as the couple moved over to the Rovers for their reception celebration, Kathy’s grandson decided to get a taste of the bygone era!
Bobby Beale took the opportunity to take a ride in the horse-drawn carriage on EastEnders. Thus, Bobby and his best pal, Freddie, hopped on it and marveled at the beauty of their transport. Just as the mates embarked upon their joy ride, a couple passing by congratulated them! Believing them to be newlyweds! A taken aback and certainly flustered Bobby blabbered that the couple is mistaken because the two boys were sitting in a carriage decked up for the wedded! Freddie, being Freddie, chuckled at the confusion!
Freddie Takes Bobby By Surprise On EastEnders
He then proceeded to tell his buddy, “You could do a lot worse, Bob.” And then, in a totally unexpected move, Freddie planted a kiss on Bobby’s lips on EastEnders! Thus, leaving Bobby completely flabbergasted and lost for words! But the Beale boy recovered soon enough, and the two pals carried on with their ride amidst hearty giggles! On the surface, this was just a friendly gag pulled by Freddie on his best pal. But what if there is more?
We know Freddie is sort of a wild card on EastEnders. In a recent chat with the media, actress Molly Rainford (Anna) joked that Freddie’s spontaneity is one of his most attractive feats. He just does whatever he wants without thinking much. This kiss on Bobby’s pucker was a prime example of what Molly was pointing at! So what if this was just a little teaser of what’s to come ahead? Perhaps, the little kiss may end up becoming some sort of a turning point in Freddie and Bobby’s friendship.
Later, upon reflection, the boys might start to feel that they indeed have feelings for each other. Or at least feel an attraction! Moreover, EastEnders fans have already given a green flag to the couple on social media! After the photos and video of the kiss scene went viral, fans started gushing over the boys!
