It appears that 2024 has been a tough year for reality star Alfonso Ribeiro. This year, he suffered from two injuries. The first one happened just before the premiere of DWTS. During his son’s baseball game, he accidentally injured his head. He opened all the details about the incident in his recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark.
Then, Alfonso revealed that he was hit by a ball in the back of the head while he was enjoying the game. He was putting someone’s number in his phone and standing off to the side when the ball came and struck him. Sadly, the impact caused a concussion. Furthermore, Alfonso added that the blow had left him down on the ground, sidelining him for three days.

Alfonso Ribeiro injured his ankle while he was at Disney World in Orlando to shoot the holiday special episode. Based on the latest reports by TMZ, the DWTS star, by chance, stepped on a trolley rail that caused him to twist his ankle. He had to lean on his co-host, Julianne Hough since he was struggling to put weight on his sore foot.
For the rest of the episode, Alfonso was in a wheelchair that was given to him by the production team. With the injury, he carefully stepped into the wheelchair to move around the set. Apparently, his pain grew so intense that he ended up vomiting into a trashcan. Fortunately, the trashcan was on the side of the street where the accident happened.
Moreover, the Disney World’s facilities are popular for their cleanliness and there was no scarcity of trashcans nearby. The report also mentioned that Alfonso’s ankle injury wasn’t serious, allowing him to continue his shooting. Additionally, he is excited about the special episode as he took to social media to tease it.
Alfonso shared a photo of him along with Julianne, captioning it “We’re back on Tuesday with our #DWTS500th Episode!.” He revealed that each of the remaining six dancing couples will take the floor twice in the upcoming episode.
