He was carrying a cell phone, which is a severe violation of prison rules. As a result, the officials transferred Josh Duggar to SHU. And if the phone had internet access, it would be even more concerning.
Prisons strictly prohibit the use of any device with internet access. Offenders caught using such devices could face more than two decades of additional probation. In Josh Duggar’s case, he may have to serve a total of 14 years of imprisonment. However, there is no fixed release date for him. A rough estimate suggests that he may be in prison until August 2023. According to a source cited by The U.S. Sun, the SHU is a terrible place for anyone to be.
